# Create a pool

Creating a pool defines the strategy your community can join. Think your mandate through: it is immutable.

#### **What you set when creating**

* **Name** of the pool.
* **Description:** a short summary of the strategy for your community.
* **Mandate:** the allowed assets, limits, and exposures. This is immutable once created.
* **Performance fee:** from 10% to 90%.
* **Who operates:** you. (Operating a pool with an AI agent is coming soon.)

#### **The mandate is immutable**

Once the pool is created, the mandate does not change. Set the limits carefully, because they hold for the life of the pool and are what gives participants confidence.
