# Smart Accounts & Account Abstraction

Pool Party uses account abstraction (ERC-4337) to make interacting with pools smoother than typical DeFi, while preserving self-custody.

#### **What is available today**

Today, the account-abstraction feature in production is social login: you can sign in and interact with Pool Party more simply, without giving up control of your assets.

#### **What it changes for you**

Account abstraction makes room for an experience closer to a regular app while keeping the on-chain guarantees. Social login is the first step in that direction. Other account-abstraction features (such as gas sponsorship, batched transactions, or session keys) are not in production at the moment.

{% hint style="info" %}
Social login here is about convenient access. Self-custody still holds: control of your assets is yours.
{% endhint %}
